Dewair is a historic place, where Maharana Pratap defeated Mughal forces and regained most of the lost territory. Famous British historic Col James Tod named it ‘Marathon of Mewar’. It is situated on NH-8 near village Dewair confluence of Kumbhalgarh and Todgarh Raoli. sanctuaries. The old trade route from Mewar and Marwar passes here. A British styled building formerly used as barrack for security guards to provided safety to traders has now been converted into staying place.

Significant features of Dewair are commanding view of forests, sun set view, beautiful chapli lake and Victory memorial of Dewair battle. While trekking along the valley route commonly known as ‘Dewair Nal’ eco-tourists can sight a variety of birds like Indian pitta, Grey jungle-fowl, Paradise fly catcher and Scimitar babbler.
