Jakham is a beautiful dam site ‘rest house’ located in the Sitamata wildlife sanctuary. Jakham Dam was constructed across river Jakham by water resource department almost 30 years back for the purpose of  irrigation. The lush green vegetarian mainly Teak and Bamboo in the surrounding hills of lake make it one of the most attractive tourist destinations. In the good monsoon year the waterfall from overflow of dam, add to the beauty of this site.

The forest rest house has been developed near the bank of lake on an elevated elated terrain. It has a facility of two rooms & a dormitory. The tourist gets the commanding view of lake,  forests and bird life from here.
